This document outlines the rights and responsibilities relating to the Scenic Rim Aqua Fitness Centre (SRAFC) user’s entitlements during their use of the Centre’s facilities.
ACCESS AND RECEPTION
SRAFC users must complete this registration form prior to using the facility.
SRAFC users must sign in and out with full name at reception every time they attend the Centre.
SRAFC users must advise any changes of address and phone number, and update health details every 6 months.
The facilities are available to the general public during trading hours. SRAFC reserves the right to alter trading hours during events or unforeseen circumstances.
GENERAL CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
To ensure the Centre is able to provide a high level of service in a safe, healthy and pleasant environment for all, users must comply with the following conditions:
Entry will be refused or a person requested to leave the Centre if the person:
A) Is abusive or uses offensive language or whose behaviour is threatening or
B) Is under the influence of drugs or alcohol
C) Does not adhere to the general conditions of entry, or comply with safety directions issued by the Centre.
D) No smoking is permitted in the Centre.
SAFETY, MAINTENANCE & SERVICE DEMAND
The Centre may from time to time as reasonably necessary:
- Close off any part of the premises or isolate any piece of equipment for maintenance or safety reasons;
- Change the hours of opening and closing or alter class timetables in accordance with demand; or
- Vary Centre rules.
Where this occurs the Centre will provide reasonable notice on the Centre notice boards or at the reception.
Appropriate clean and suitable swimming attire is required for entry to the pool. Users are required to shower prior to entering the pool. We request that children up to the age of 24 months wear bathers with elastic waist and leg bands or ‘aqua nappies’. Disposable or cloth nappies not permitted. Young children should be taken on regular toilet breaks.
In the instance of a user having gastro or diarrhoea, they should not enter the pool until 14 days after the symptoms have ceased. Pregnant women are advised to discuss their specific needs with their healthcare provider.
Parents are not permitted to leave children under the age of 10, unaccompanied at any time while they are in the Centre, including during a Learn to Swim class. Parents are responsible for all their children within the pool environment and surrounds, and must ensure they adhere to the pool guidelines. Children must be accompanied and kept under supervision by an adult 18 years or over at all times for general use.
AQUA CLASSES AND LEARN TO SWIM LESSONS
SRAFC Management reserves the right to change, adjust and vary the Aqua Group and Learn to Swim Timetable. Management will aim to provide one weeks notice in advance of any routine changes. Aqua Classes and Learn to Swim Lessons are not held on Public Holidays. Learn to Swim Lessons are not held in school holidays or Pupil Free Days.
PHOTOGRAPHS AND VIDEOS
Participants involved in any activities offered by SRAFC may be photographed or videotaped during training. The undersigned hereby consents to the use of these photographs and/or videos without compensation, on the SRAFC website, Facebook page or in any editorial, promotional or advertising material produced and/or published by SRAFC. Please specify to Management, Instructors and/or Volunteers taking photographs if you do not wish for your/childs image to be used.
